Privacy policy

The short version

You can use My Supplementals without an account and without telling us who you are. Your school selections live in your browser and in the link you can share. If you export to Google Docs, we learn your email address and keep it so we can ask how the tool worked for you. We never sell any of it.

What we collect

• Your school selections and question answers are stored in your browser (localStorage) and encoded into the page URL so you can save or share your list. They reach our servers only to look up the matching essays.
• If you export to Google Docs, you sign in with Google. We receive your name and email address and a temporary permission to create documents in your Drive. We store your name, email, the export format, and how many schools and essays you exported, so we can follow up and ask for feedback. We can only see files our tool creates — never the rest of your Drive.
• Anonymous usage analytics (page views and feature clicks) via self-hosted-style privacy-friendly analytics, without advertising trackers or cross-site cookies.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
• We don't read, access, or store anything in your Google Drive beyond the documents the export creates.
• We don't require an account, and we don't track you across other websites.

Your choices

Want your email removed from our records, or curious what we have? Email [email protected] and we'll take care of it. You can also revoke My Supplementals' Google access anytime at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
