Terms of service

The short version

My Supplementals is free, needs no account, and is built by two people who went through this process. Use it, share it, and please double-check every prompt against the Common App before you rely on it. We are not affiliated with the Common Application or with any college.

Not affiliated with the Common App

My Supplementals is an independent tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Common Application, Inc., or by any college or university listed on this site. School names and prompts are shown for identification and reference only, and belong to their respective institutions.

Check the prompts before you rely on them

Prompts are collected from the Common App each application cycle and organized automatically, so mistakes are possible: a prompt can change after we collect it, a conditional question can be missed, or a word limit can be recorded wrong. We give no guarantee that anything here is complete, current, or accurate. Before you submit anything, confirm every prompt and requirement in your own Common App account. Your application is your responsibility.

Using the site

You may use My Supplementals for your own college applications, and you are welcome to share your list with friends, family, or a counselor. Please do not scrape, bulk-download, or republish our essay database, hammer our API, or try to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site. We may block access that does any of those things.

Google Docs and Drive export

If you export to Google Docs or Drive, you sign in with Google and grant us permission to create documents on your behalf. We only touch the files our export creates, never the rest of your Drive, and you can revoke that access anytime at myaccount.google.com/permissions. What we store is covered in our privacy policy. Your use of Google's own services stays subject to Google's terms.

Your essays are yours

Anything you write is yours. We do not read, collect, or store your essay drafts. The site and its organization of the prompt data are ours, and the prompts themselves belong to the schools that wrote them.

No warranty, no liability

My Supplementals is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind. We may change, pause, or shut down the service at any time. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, including a missed deadline, a missed prompt, or an application outcome.

Changes and contact

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page. Questions go to support@mysupplementals.com.
